I’m up searching now, and I think that you cannot hid your friends list, ia part of this new “Public” informations BS….I am 2 seconds away from closing my account

You can stop it from appearing on your profile by going to your main profile page, scrolling down to the friends box, clicking on the pencil icon and un-checking ‘Show my friends on my profile’. Unfortunately this hides your friend list from your actual friends too, as well as removing it from your search listing.

Don’t be fooled when Facebook tell you this keeps your friends list private, though - anyone can still find it, all they need to do is type= plus your ID number, and they’ll get your friend list. I want to smack Mark Zuckerberg in the mouth.

    Echo’s answer worked.

Great tip on removing friends list! Facebook made a huge mistake removing the friends privacy settings and as mentioned above, I almost closed my account because of this oversight!

If I hadn’t found this answer I more than likely would have closed my account!

One simple setting missed with potentially bad consequences!

I don’t use my face book with my phone but I heard that even though you can hide your friends with the pencil icon on your computer, your friends list will be visible to others when they look at your profile page from their phone. Is this true?
